تتجه أنظار العالم صوب منطقة نائية جنوب المحيط الهندي تقع على مسافة حوالى 2500 كيلومتر جنوب غرب مدينة بيرث في غرب استراليا، حيث رصدت أقمار اصطناعية صورا لجسمين يشتبه أنهما لحطام الطائرة الماليزية المفقودة اثناء قيامها برحلة بين كوالالمبور وبكين قبل 13 يوما، وعلى متنها 239 شخصا من الركاب وافراد الطاقم.
